Jennifer Zwiebel
Jennifer was inspired to found The Kosher Hostess when she realized that one of her deepest connections to Judasim was through the food she prepared and shared with family and friends. She decided to create a communal kitchen where people across the world could share ideas, recipes and stories, and connect to each other and to Judaism in a unique and fulfilling way. Read more...
Jennifer is a professional organizer based in New York. It was at an organizing conference (yes, there are such things, and yes, everyone shows up early for every session) that she learned that she could provide the best service by tapping into whatever was unique about what she had to offer.
Having just helped a client organize Passover--all of the menus for all of the meals, with coordinating shopping lists, to-do lists and schedules--and being thanked at the seder table by her client, it occurred to Jennifer that this was something that could be of value to others. If these simple tools and guidelines made such a difference to someone who had been preparing seders for twenty years, they would probably be helpful to anyone feeling overwhelmed by holiday preparations.
And so began the journey that eventually led to The Kosher Hostess. What started out as a desire to make organizing tools for the Jewish home readily available soon became the foundation of a powerful online resource and community. Amazing people appeared out of nowhere and offered to contribute recipes, articles and ideas. The Kosher Hostess took on a life of its own, and now we're looking forward to seeing where the readers take it next.
Jennifer continues to consult with organizing clients, gathering ideas and insights to share with the Kosher Hostess community. Her focus is on partnering with people who are ready to begin the empowering process of letting go of things that no longer serve them, and creating the environments and systems that enable them to live the lives they want to live.
